Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 31, 2024
Perkvento is committed to ensuring that its digital platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our content and functionality.
Our Commitment
We believe that access to educational content and interactive experiences should be available to every person, regardless of ability or the technology they use. Perkvento strives to meet or exceed recognised web accessibility guidelines and to remove barriers that may prevent participation in our platform.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.
Our platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.
Measures We Take
Perkvento takes the following measures to support accessibility:
- Incorporating accessibility considerations into our design and development processes
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content where technically feasible
- Ensuring sufficient colour contrast between text and background elements
- Designing interactive elements to be operable via keyboard navigation
- Using semantic HTML to support assistive technologies such as screen readers
- Avoiding content that flashes more than three times per second
- Providing clear and consistent navigation structures throughout the platform
- Ensuring form fields include descriptive labels and error messages
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the platform may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. Known limitations include:
- Some third-party embedded content may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- Certain interactive quiz components may present challenges for users relying solely on keyboard input — we are actively reviewing and improving these
- Some older multimedia content may lack complete captions or audio descriptions
- PDF documents linked from the platform may not be fully accessible
We are working to resolve these issues in a timely manner. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us so we can address it.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Perkvento is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers, including those used on desktop and mobile operating systems
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom and text resizing features
- High contrast and forced colour modes
- Voice control and speech recognition software
We recommend using an up-to-date browser and the latest version of your preferred assistive technology for the best experience on our platform.
