Foundation Quizzes

Technique Assessments
Scenario-based tests built around real production conditions — working under time pressure, adapting to cast changes, managing limited kit on a touring show.

What each service actually delivers
These are not passive video courses. Each format requires you to make decisions, apply knowledge, and receive specific observations about your work. Progress depends on how much you put into each session, not on how many modules you complete.
The gamified elements — scores, level progression, challenge streaks — exist to make the practice habit sustainable, not to make the subject feel easier than it is.
Foundation Quizzes
Covers the vocabulary and visual recognition skills that underpin all other work. You need to identify a stipple sponge versus a latex sponge, understand warm versus cool undertones under tungsten lighting, and know why setting powder behaves differently under LED rigs.
Technique Assessments
Scenario difficulty increases across three tiers. Early scenarios involve straightforward character types in standard lighting. Later ones introduce complications: a cast member with a skin sensitivity, a venue with no mirror access backstage, a director who has changed the period setting mid-rehearsal.
Challenges and Feedback
These two formats work well together. The challenge gives you a design problem to solve; the feedback round lets you test that design in practice and get observations on what translated from paper to face and what did not. Neither replaces the other.
